Welcome to Alternate Devices
Empowering People with Disabilities Through Technology
At Alternate Devices, we research and develop modern products to advance the quality of life of individuals who rely on technology for communication, education, and entertainment.
Through a combination of one-off projects, field research, and community outreach, Alternate Devices helps an underserved population by applying the latest technology and development methods to the benefit of the individual.
We Know AT
Adaptive technologies are products that help those with disabilities enjoy a higher
quality of life.
Traditional AT tools follow long development cycles and often solve specific challenges faced
by various segments of the community. With the advent of agile product development and rapid
manufacturing tools such as 3D printing, there are more resources today than ever. These tools
can be applied to directly benefit people with disabilities, with a quick timeline from conception
to reality.
